Dog Training Services

Marvelous Canines is proud to offer a wide range of services and programs to our clients.

Our one on one private training lessons give dogs and owners the potential to learn at their own pace with each their own training curriculum. Each program is modified to you and your dog's goals and individual needs.

Unlike group classes, private lessons provide a low distraction environment which sets the dog up for success. Our goal is to add distractions with time and have the dog able to work in a high distraction environment by the end of our curriculum.

Our programs are a great way for you to gain experience, knowledge and build a strong relationship with your dog(s).

Training Consultation

$85 / consultation + HST

(45mins)

Our training consultation is great way for you to learn our training methods, get to know your trainer and see if you want to continue working with us. When picking a dog trainer it is so important to make sure you feel comfortable with your trainer and are able to discuss anything that may be relevant to your dog's training.

During this consult we will gather information on your dog and then discuss the training plan that is best suited for you and your pup!

We recommend doing a consultation prior to any of our training packages so that we can get to know you and your dog, your goals and then direct you to the program that is best suited for you and your dog.

Please note, all clients inquiring for behaviour modification must schedule a consultation prior to signing up for our program. Clients looking for obedience training, leash walking manners, recall, etc. may be exempt.

Obedience Training

$400 / package + HST

(4 private sessions)

This training program is tailored for those looking for basic, intermediate, advanced or specialized obedience training sessions. The sessions will be done in your home, outdoors, and in pet friendly stores to properly expose your puppy and challenge them when the time is appropriate. We will be giving you the tools on how to properly socialize your puppy/dog and expose them to different environments which will help them grow to be confident and well rounded dogs.

Behaviour Modification

$520 / package + HST

(4 private sessions)

Our behaviour modification training program is perfect for dogs who have mild to severe behavioural issues. We adjust this program to meet each individual dog and handler's needs.

If you experience any of the following issues with your dog(s) this training program is intended for you;

-Excessive barking

-Lunging

-Inappropriate growling

-Intense staring

-Inappropriate nipping

-Baring teeth

-Snarling

-Bites

etc.

We have successfully rehabilitated dogs who were deemed aggressive, dogs with bite histories, dog reactive dogs, people reactive dogs, car reactive dogs, etc.

Many of these dogs were simply misunderstood and needed some extra help on how to "dog". Once the owner understood what their dog(s) was trying to communicate not only did their relationship begin to grow, the dog was able to relax and trust that his/her owner had control of the situation.

Board & Train

$900 / week + HST

(minimum two weeks)

Includes three go-home lessons, a slip lead, and go-home work sheet.

I have a 3 year old mini aussiedoodle that was developing aggressive tendencies, I didn't know what to do! I had done everything from the puppy classes correctly but he was getting worse, I was scared when he would growl, did it mean I would lose my dog? Cass assessed what we were doing and was able to explain to me (and my family) what was happening from the dog's point of vue and elaborated a plan that would address the issues.
